Duration - 4 hrs (driving + walking)
Our introduction to Oslo starts with an enjoyable guided stroll around the city center highlights located a right along the scenic Oslo coastline. We will see such historic sites as the Parliament, National Theatre, Royal Residence and the new modern Opera House & Ballet building along the way. The celebrated Karl Johans Gateis also found a stone throw away on the main pedestrian street of the city, famously named after Norwegian king Karl III Johan.
Thereafter, we will take a short break to enjoy some free time for coffee or shopping before continuing on a sightseeing drive towards the impressive Vigeland Sculpture Park. We will enjoy a guided walk in the imaginative world of the artist Gustav Vigeland and more than 200 of his creations of human figures in bronze, iron and stone. Leaving the inspiring park of expressive statues behind, we will now experience something entirely different. The Viking Ship Museum is a surprising collection of well-preserved magnificent burial ships from the times of these ancient Nordic rulers. The delicate craftsmanship and astounding findings of the three ships exhibited make it a unique visit and a must-see when in this part of the world.
Our day ends with a return transfer to the cruise harbor, where you can board your ship in comfort.
